Will Gmail trust your domain's mail?

Gmail, Yahoo and Microsoft reject or junk mail from domains that can't prove where it came from. Enter your domain and we'll read its public DNS records, then tell you in plain English what passes and what to fix.

The part after the @ in your email address.

More options

Only if you know it: the s= value in the DKIM-Signature header of a message you sent. We also try the names common mail services use.

We don't keep the domain you enter or the result.

What the check reads

SPF
Which servers may send mail as your domain, and whether the record stays under the ten-lookup limit receivers enforce.
DKIM
Signing keys published under the names common mail services use, and whether each key is long enough.
DMARC
Whether you publish a policy, how strict it is, and where reports about your mail go.
Mail servers
Your MX records and mail provider, reverse DNS for the addresses your SPF record names, and the MTA-STS and TLS reporting records.

The lookups go through public DNS resolvers (Quad9 and Cloudflare), which ask your domain's own DNS servers, the same way a receiving mail server finds your records. We don't store the domain or the result.

What DNS can't show

This check reads published records only. It can't see whether your messages are actually signed, whether your mail servers encrypt connections, or how receivers rate your sending. We can check those with a real message you send us.

Got a rejection message? Look up what its error code means.
